Marko's Harmonics
Hear the spectrum.
Every sound has a fingerprint. Play the keys, explore real instrument presets, or sculpt a timbre that is entirely your own.
Attack controls how quickly the sound rises from silence to its loudest point after you press a key. A short attack feels immediate and percussive; a long attack creates a gradual fade-in.
Decay controls how long the sound takes to fall from its initial peak to the sustain level while the key remains held. Short decay feels crisp; long decay lets the initial brightness linger.
Sustain sets the steady volume maintained for as long as you hold the key. Unlike the other envelope controls, sustain is a level rather than a length of time.
Release controls how long the sound takes to fade into silence after you let go of the key. A short release stops sharply; a long release leaves a soft, lingering tail.

A small experiment in sound
One note. Infinite colours.
The fundamental tells your ear which note is playing. The quieter frequencies above it—the harmonics—give that note its identity. Change their balance and the same C can feel like a flute, a violin, or something no one has heard before.
